Abilio James Acosta (born April 17, 1971) is an American broadcast journalist.
Abilio James Acosta was born on April 17, 1971, in Washington, D.C., United States. He is 53 years old. Acosta graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is best known for his role as a former CNN anchor. He was married to Sharon Mobley Stow from 1999 until their divorce in 2017, and together they have two children.
Acosta served as CNN's chief White House correspondent during both the Obama and Trump administrations, where he gained national attention for his frequent clashes with President Donald Trump during press briefings. In January 2021, he was named anchor and chief domestic correspondent for CNN. On January 28, 2025, Acosta made his final broadcast on the network.
