Davos is an Alpine resort town and municipality situated in the Prättigau/Davos region of the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. With a permanent population of 10,832 as of 2020, it lies along the Landwasser River, nestled in the Rhaetian Alps between the Plessur and Albula mountain ranges.

The municipality encompasses almost the entire Landwasser valley, with the main hub of population, economic activity, and administration located in two neighboring villages: Davos Dorf (Davos Village) and Davos Platz (Davos Place), both situated at an elevation of 1,560 m (5,120 ft) above sea level.

Davos rose to prominence in the 19th century as a mountain health resort and is perhaps most famous today for hosting the World Economic Forum, an annual gathering of global political and corporate leaders. Renowned for its long tradition of winter sports, Davos is home to one of Switzerland's largest ski resorts and holds the Spengler Cup, an international ice hockey tournament, every December.
