Karoline Claire Leavitt (born August 24, 1997) is an American political aide and government official currently serving as the 36th White House Press Secretary, a position she has held since January 2025 under President Donald Trump. She made history as the youngest person ever to hold the role of White House Press Secretary.





Karoline Claire Leavitt is the 36th White House Press Secretary, having assumed office on January 20, 2025, under President Donald Trump. She succeeded Karine Jean-Pierre. Born on August 24, 1997, in Atkinson, New Hampshire, Leavitt is 27 years old. A member of the Republican Party, she is married to Nicholas Riccio and has one child. Leavitt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Anselm College.



Before becoming White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt served as the national press secretary for Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign. She also worked as an assistant press secretary and presidential writer during the first Trump administration, and as a spokesperson for MAGA Inc., a pro-Trump Super PAC. In 2022, Leavitt ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in New Hampshire's 1st district, securing the Republican nomination but ultimately losing in the general election to Democratic incumbent Chris Pappas.
