Pam bondi

Pamela Jo Bondi (born November 17, 1965) is an American attorney, lobbyist, and politician. A member of the Republican Party, she made history as the first woman elected to serve as Florida's attorney general, holding the office from 2011 to 2019.

In 2020, Bondi served as one of President Donald Trump's defense attorneys during his first impeachment trial. By 2024, she was leading the legal division of the Trump-aligned America First Policy Institute. On November 21, 2024, President-elect Trump announced that she would be nominated for United States Attorney General following the withdrawal of the previous nominee, Matt Gaetz.


Bondi grew up in Temple Terrace, Florida, where her father, Joseph Bondi, served as both a city council member and mayor. She graduated from C. Leon King High School in Tampa.

In 1987, Bondi earned a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from the University of Florida and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1990. As an undergraduate, she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. Bondi was admitted to the Florida Bar on June 24, 1991.
