Nikola Jokić (Serbian Cyrillic: Никола Јокић, pronounced [nǐkola jôkitɕ]) is a Serbian professional basketball player who currently plays as a center for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA. Born on February 19, 1995, Jokić, nicknamed "the Joker," is widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players and centers in history. He is often seen as the greatest draft steal in NBA history. A seven-time NBA All-Star, Jokić has earned six All-NBA Team selections, including four first-team honors. He has also been awarded the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) three times, for the 2020–21, 2021–22, and 2023–24 seasons. Jokić also represents the Serbian national team, winning a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Jokić was selected by the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft. He earned a spot on the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2016. During the 2018–19 NBA season, Jokić helped lead the Nuggets to the Western Conference Semifinals and received his first All-Star selection, along with being named to the All-NBA First Team. The following season, he earned another All-Star nod and All-NBA honors while guiding the Nuggets to the Western Conference Finals. In the 2022–23 NBA season, Jokić was named NBA Finals MVP after leading the Nuggets to their first-ever NBA championship. He ranks among the top three players in NBA history for the most triple-doubles (regular season and playoffs), with Jokić holding the distinction of being the leading international player and center in this category. He also set the record for the fastest triple-double, achieving the feat in just 14 minutes and 33 seconds.
