Pauline Perpetua Sheen MBE, better known by her stage name Pauline Quirke (born 8 July 1959), is an English actress. She began her career with various television roles before launching her own comedy sketch show, Pauline's Quirkes, in 1976. Quirke gained widespread recognition for her role as Vicky Smith in the BBC drama Angels (1982–1983) and achieved further fame as Sharon Theodopolopodous in the long-running sitcom Birds of a Feather (1988–1999, 2014–2017), a performance that earned her a British Comedy Award and three National Television Award nominations. Between 2010 and 2012, Quirke played Hazel Rhodes on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale.
